History of Fishtown
As early as the 1700s, Fishtown acquired it's name from the English and German fishermen. Throughout the years, Fishtown was full of working-class individuals then in the late 1900s and early 2000s Fishtown hit a decline. By 2010, Fishtown had a rebirth and the real estate started to increase. Now, Fishtown is recognized as the one of the most exciting neighborhoods in Philadelphia.

Sometimes you need to escape from the city and sit in the grass to enjoy the weather. There are many parks and playgrounds around Fishtown Flats that will allow you to do all of this.
